Woman steals from Brooklyn salons while getting her nails done

She tried to manicure her finances.

A sticky-fingered woman who feigned interest in getting her nails done snatched a handbag and a wad of cash from employees at two Brooklyn salons, police said Wednesday.

The primping pickpocket first entered the MS Q Nail salon on Rogers Ave. near Church Ave. in Flatbush around 6:45 p.m. Sept. 19, according to authorities.

Surveillance footage from inside the salon shows the woman chatting at a nail technician’s station and bending down to rummage through the employee’s hand bag moments after the steps away.

She snatched $600 and a bank card from the employee’s purse and strolled out, police said.

A little over a month later, the nail thief struck two blocks away at Church Street Spa Nails at Church Ave. near Raleigh Pl. in Flatbush at about noon October 28 and clipped an employee’s hand bag with $500, credit cards and keys, cops said.

Police on Wednesday released a photo from the woman inside the second salon and are asking for the public’s help identifying her.

She is described as black, about 35, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds with a medium build and long, black hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800)-577-TIPS.
