South Korean President Moon Jae-in says North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will ‘soon’ visit Seoul.

Moon didn’t provide any other details about the trip during a speech on the economy given before the parliament Thursday.

Moon has previously said that Kim told him he would visit Seoul within this year when the leaders met in Pyongyang in September.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Moon was repeating his previous statement or if he had new details about Kim’s trip.

Moon also says a second North Korea-U.S. summit is ‘near at hand.’

He says Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit North Korea and that Kim is to travel to Russia soon.

Moon has shuttled between North Korea and the United States to arrange nuclear talks.

South Korea’s presidential office said it had no further details to add to Moon’s speech about the impending trip.

When the pair came together for a historic meeting in September, the North Korean leader had agreed to several concessions on denuclearization and even discussed a joint North and South Korea Olympic bid in 2032.

Moon said the North had agreed to dismantle missile sites and take other steps such as closing its main Yongbyon nuclear complex if the United States took reciprocal measures.

North and South Korea also reportedly agreed the Korean Peninsula should turn into a ‘land of peace without nuclear weapons and nuclear threats,’ Moon said following the conclusion of his summit talks with the North Korean leader.

When Kim does visit South Korea he will become the first North Korean leader to cross the border since the end of the Korean War in 1953.
