PVH’s Chirico Named a Father of the Year



Emanuel “Manny” Chirico is well-known for being the architect behind PVH Corp.’s purchase of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. Now, the chairman and chief executive officer of the New York-based corporation will be honored for his parenting skills as well.
Chirico has been named a 2018 “Father of the Year” honoree and will get his award at the 77th annual Father of the Year Awards at the Sheraton New York Times Square on June 11 at noon. He and his wife, Joanne, have three sons and two granddaughters.
In his nearly 25 years at PVH, Chirico has made significant improvements to expand the company’s business beyond North America to include retail, wholesale, digital and licensing businesses globally. In addition to Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, he was also instrumental in the acquisition of Warnaco.
Proceeds from the Father of the Year lunch will benefit Save the Children’s U.S. Programs, a charity with which PVH and Chirico have long-standing relationships. Chirico serves on the board of the organization as well as at of Montefiore Medical Center and is a supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities. He is an active member of the Economic Development Committee, sits on the Advisory Committee for U.S. Trade Policy and Negotiations and
