ANOTHER charge against Kagiso Rabada

Cape Town – Kagiso Rabada has been charged for a second alleged breach of cricket’s code of conduct for his actions after dismissing Australian opener David Warner in the second Test in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.

The International Cricket Council says it has charged the South African fast bowler with a level 1 offence for screaming in the face of Warner after bowling him at the start of Australia’s second innings on the third day’s play.

It’s the second disciplinary charge for Rabada in the match after he was reported for a more serious level two offence for bumping into Australia captain Steve Smith in the first innings.

That incident on its own has the potential to see Rabada banned for two Tests and miss the rest of the Australia series.

Rabada had a disciplinary hearing over the Smith shoulder bump after play on Sunday. The ICC is yet to release its decision on that charge.

Rabada was previously suspended for the Trent Bridge Test in 2017 after he was found guilty of using inappropriate language directed at English allrounder Ben Stokes at Lord’s.
