IRCTC Partners With Ola to Let Users Book Cabs Online or via App

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a partnership with cab hailing firm Ola to enable passengers to book an Ola on the IRCTC website and app. Through this partnership, passengers will now be able to book from a wide range of Ola services such as Ola Micro, Ola Mini, Prime Play, as well as SUVs directly via the IRCTC website and mobile app. Additionally, Ola Autos and Ola share are also part of the deal.

IRCTC has integrated Ola booking API onto its platforms, and the services commenced on Monday. Under the IRCTC-Ola tie-up, passengers will be able to avail the Ola booking facility as a part of tourism packages, and travel itineraries. Additionally, you can also book cabs via Ola’s self-serving kiosks at IRCTC outlets present in railway stations. Customers can also choose to pre-book cabs up to 7 days in advance or upon reaching the railway station as well.

On the tie-up, an IRCTC spokesperson said, “The IRCTC – Ola partnership will provide first and last-mile connectivity to commuters. The ease of travel of our commuters is of prime importance to us and we believe that this association will help in delivering unparalleled convenience to the users on our platform, fostering and strengthening the culture of Digital India.”

In order to book an Ola cab or auto from the IRCTC website and mobile app, first log in to IRCTC with your details. Then click on the services section and select Book a cab. Here, you can book your preferred mode of commute.

Meanwhile, Saurabh Mishra, Head of Alliances, Ola, said, “We are proud to partner with IRCTC and this partnership truly stands for our vision to build robust and reliable mobility for a billion people. Since Ola’s inception, it is our constant endeavour to integrate our smart mobility solutions as an extension to existing public transportation infrastructure such as Railway Stations, Metros, and Airports, ensuring reliable first and last-mile connectivity for the commuters. The integration with IRCTC is not only the stepping stone to digitizing transportation end-to-end but is also, a leap in enhancing the commuter’s experience. We thank IRCTC for reposing faith in us to deliver on a project of this stature.”
