John McCririck has sparked concern among fans after making a gaunt appearance on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side on Thursday evening.
The 78-year-old racing pundit, who appeared on CBB in January 2005, chatted on the show yet fans were thrown by his appearance as he appeared remarkably slimmer less than a year after it was revealed he was battling a mystery illness.
Swarming Twitter, viewers voiced worries over the controversial TV personality, with some fans insisting he looked ‘ill and gaunt’ – leading to discussion over his health.

John was chatting on the show about the ins and outs of the final season of the Channel 5 show, yet fans were distracted by his shocking looks.

In April, the TV legend revealed he has thrown himself into a health kick after his weight ballooned to 19 stone, as he proudly confirmed he had shed three stone after cutting down his portions and ridding his diet of potatoes.
MailOnline has contacted representatives for John for comment.
John collapsed at Cheltenham Races in 2013 due to stress. After his collapse he was taken to hospital after which his representative assured fans: ‘John fully intends on being back on the course tomorrow.’

In Janurary last year, John sported a much smoother look as he was given a make-under on Channel 5’s Celebrity 100% Hotter.
The horse racing pundit was left looking unimpressed as he turned to face the mirror in a suave all-white ‘hipster’ ensemble, complete with a slick man-bun.
The expert team of fashion and beauty experts managed to get the commentator in a pair of trainers, cream linen trousers and a white polo vest along with a matching linen casual jacket.
‘You love it!’, the show’s host proclaimed to a bewildered McCririck, who quickly made his thoughts known, stating: ‘I won’t say I love it’.

The star, who was arguably the best known face on C4 racing with appeal reaching far beyond the normal boundaries of the sport, was one of several familiar faces not retained when C4 changed the company producing their racing output from Highflyer to IMG Sports Media.
Others who lost out included John Francome, Alastair Down, Derek Thompson and Mike Cattermole.
But John, who became famous for reporting from the betting ring in his own unique style, has taken his removal hard, alleging the decision announced in October was ageist and that he has suffered public humiliation.
