Mother of daughter killed in road crash is found dead days later

The mother of a teenage girl who was killed in a horror crash has been found dead just days later.

Natalie Hood was found dead over the weekend after she lost her daughter Casey, 18, in the collision near Canterbury in the early hours of Friday morning.

Mrs Hood had posted a message on Facebook saying ‘I just want my little girl back’ on Saturday.

Lucy Leadbeater, 27, was also in the Toyota Yaris involved in the crash near the A2 and was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but died yesterday after her life support was switched off.

Amanda Aubrey-Killen lead the tributes on Facebook yesterday: ‘At 3.36pm today Lucy Leadbeater’s parents made the decision to have the life support machine turned off.

‘It is with deepest sympathy that there was nothing more the doctors could do.

‘Lucy’s parents and her son needed time to process this. As you may know Lucy was involved in a car accident early hours yesterday morning.

‘Her family and Logan’s family are all supporting each other. She will be sadly missed. We will never forget you Lucy.’

On the crash, a spokesman for Kent Police said: ‘At 3.48am on Friday, officers were on patrol when their attention was drawn to a Toyota Yaris parked on the A2 slip road towards Adisham Road.

‘The vehicle left the scene and the officers subsequently attended Nethersole Road where they found the car had been involved in a collision.

‘South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene along with the air ambulance.

‘An 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene while a second woman was taken to a London hospital in a critical condition.

‘Two men were also taken to a local hospital in a stable condition.’
